project justification
QGMI carried out the supply, transport, storage, and installation of over 160,000 metres of steel piles for the Guyana Integrated NGL Plant and the 300 MWe CCGT Power Plant Project, located on the West Bank of the Demerara River in Georgetown, Guyana. The aim of the project was to build all the necessary infrastructure to transport natural gas for its conversion into energy, thereby doubling the country’s electricity generation capacity.
scope of works
The project included:
- Supply, transport, storage, and installation of 164,739 metres of steel piles to support the foundations of equipment, tanks, vessels, pipe racks, and buildings for the Guyana Integrated NGL Plant and the 300 MWe CCGT Power Plant Project.

The project was developed in line with the highest international standards, in accordance with IFC regulations, the World Bank’s Environmental, Health and Safety Guidelines, and the OECD Common Approaches.
