IMS POLICY
QGMI’s IMS policy reflects our commitment to minimising or eliminating risks to people and the environment, wherever possible. That’s why each project is supported by a tailored IMS plan, detailing how health, safety, environment, quality, and social responsibility will be managed in line with the Plan-Do-Check-Act management cycle.
We allocate resources during the business study phase, even before contract signing, to assess the most sustainable material and process options. This includes forecasting resources for socio-environmental matters:
- Hiring specialised professionals to monitor site activities
- Procuring equipment to support project management
- Designing training programmes, awareness campaigns, and educational activities
QGMI defines the key processes for effective IMS management, including KPIs, and monitoring and performance improvement tools. Our procedures are regularly reviewed, updated, and audited. We also assess and manage non-technical risks according to the scale and nature of each project.
- Health & Safety: The health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees is a top priority. We promote a culture of care across our workforce, identifying and mitigating risks, injuries, and illnesses through training for both workers and subcontractors—always applying the highest international standards.
- Environment: In collaboration with international environmental consultants, we operate with Improving resource efficiency maximum respect for the environment, recognising that resource use can impact the health, wellbeing, and prosperity of the communities we serve. We focus on: reducing waste, prioritising local products and suppliers, implementing circular economy principles. Before starting each project, we conduct impact assessments to identify and mitigate potential negative effects. We take proactive steps to preserve biodiversity, with special attention to endangered species. We also contribute to the improvement of project surroundings through compensatory reforestation wherever we operate.
- Quality:: Quality management across products and processes is a non-negotiable condition throughout our supply chain and for all our employees. We comply with all relevant legislation and regulations as the foundation of our commitment to quality, and we consistently pursue market best practices to achieve excellence in management.
- Social Responsibility: We prioritise local labour in our projects, recognising that their involvement fosters long-term engagement and care for the infrastructure. Before launching any project, we prepare a Community Relations Plan to help build and strengthen ties with the local population.
